WELCOME TO
Napa Valley
Experiencing Napa Valley is an essential journey for every wine lover. While Napa did not invent wine, it has pioneered the concept of wineries that are open to the public, evident in its impressive tasting rooms dating back to the 19th century as well as modern establishments. Despite growing only 4% of California’s grapes, Napa Valley accounts for an impressive 25% of the state's total wine revenue.
Located approximately 35 miles north of San Francisco, Napa Valley extends about 30 miles in an hourglass shape, with its narrowest point measuring 3/4 of a mile and its widest spanning about 4 miles. The valley is bordered by the Mayacamas mountain range to the west and the Vaca range to the east. Within this region, there are 17 subregions known as American Viticultural Areas (AVAs), each showcasing a diverse array of over 60 unique soil types. With approximately 500 tasting rooms across the valley, one could visit a dozen times and only scratch the surface of what Napa Valley has to offer.
